Enomoto + Crawford II

Steps away from the Willamette River, a remodel of a townhome in the South Waterfront of Portland, Oregon. The existing townhome required a modern renovation to lighten the dark finishes that came with the original build out. The first level received sliding translucent glass doors to make an office into a useable guest room. The sleek glass and aluminum doors are each 4' x 8' and roll on concealed ceiling track with the push of a finger. As you travel up the stairs, light permeates through cutouts in the wall above. The rectangles of light are part of a built-in wall unit that is a combination book shelf, display area and bar. Across the dining room, a continuous floating white storage cabinet balances the weight of the built-in wall unit. Throughout the space, strategically placed recessed lights shine off the 3-form translucent counters to activate the space with a subtle glow. A built-in workstation on the other side of the fireplace with a fold down lap top table finishes the composition.
